CNC machined parts will give good accuracy the finish of the surfaces is superficial and does not play a part in how well the watch will run. Attention to detail in assembly would be more important for the watch to work well. Polishing watch parts to a high degree takes much longer than making the parts accurate. That is why the cost is low on some watches.

Now it's even cheaper. I bought the same one only green there for 11 dollars. Including shipping to New York and tax, it's 13 dollars and 8 cents. Everything worked, but at night the watch stopped at about 03:00, so I contacted AliExpress, they told me to return the watch and get my money. I think that simply at today’s prices, when in New York they ask for at least $10 for replacing a battery, repairing and repassing such watches makes no sense

Great vid, thanks for he effort! The viscosity of the oils you used, are they a constant something? So I mean if you use 1300 here for a given component, could technically use the same type of oil for the same type of component on a different movement? I guess I could, I mean I don't see how I could ruin the movement, even if it's a slightly different viscosity. ps new sub!

Hey everyone, I have one of those in my drawer. Handsome watch, but it does stop between 10PM and 2AM. Most likely to a poor oiling job at the factory. It is also on the loud side. Not sure if I will ever treat it with a proper service. Unfortunately my butter fingers prevent me from taking up the task of maintaining the mechanism on my own. Thank you for great video!

One an inflation calculator, if you purchased this same watch in 2024 for $17, then in 1990 it would have been $7.11....For the amount of intricate parts involved in the watch, you couldn't buy one screw for the amount you paid for the watch. I don't know how they make, assemble, make the band and then package and ship if for $17...That is INSANELY cheap for even a battery operated quartz watch with everything before considered.

Not enough of watch for the price they are charging it at, they're building off an old concept of the super compressor, Mantramatic engravings which you will never see unless you open the watch up, Not a COSC movement, and some marketing. And at that price range, it opens up to alot of other more worthy timepieces. What a gimmick.

Haven't worn a watch in over 30 years. Watched this video, got the white dial and stainless, and have been loving it. A chronometer it ain't, it's big and heavy, and it had some machining scuffs on the bracelet. But for the price it's a great experience. Got my like and subscribe. Thanks!
